Actually it was not the writer, but the "fact checker" who created = the statement in the article that "dozens" of dogs have died over the years. After a few minutes of trying to get me to say how many dogs have died, she finally asked me if it's accurate to say that we've done dozens of experiments. I said: "that's about right".
