There is a company here in Vancouver, Chromos Molecular Systems
Inc., which 'manufactures and markets' animal chromosomes based on
original research conducted in Hungary.
Url: <http://www.chromos.com/>

In their own words:
---------------------------------------------------------
Chromos' News Release Archive

"Chromos Molecular Systems Inc. is the world leader in the development and
application of mammalian artificial chromosomes for use in cellular and
transgenic protein production, xenotransplantation and animals models, and
cellular/gene therapy.

I have tried to find out, if their 'manufacturing of chromosomes'
(their words in an earlier version of their website) included the
capability of manipulating the lengths of telomeres, but did not
receive a reply. The fact, that I do not have a Ph.D. behind my
name and my e-mail did not originate in a university or research
institution, may have had something to do with their lack of
response. Maybe somebody with appropriate credentials and
address among the subscribers of cryonet would have more luck.
There may be some information, which could be very interesting to
this forum.
