Subject: Honesty and Conspiracy

Keith Lynch writes,

Quite so, and I confess my article was only semi-serious. Screenings
of the Leary film might be a good place for handouts if an org is
disposed to try such, but I was referring more to the popular willingness
to accept conspiracy theories, especially when denied vociferously, than
to any sort of large-scale fraud. By all means let's point them at the
archives and tell them we don't believe such folk are frozen any place
we know of ... then let them do what they will.

Of course this sets aside the question of whether or not we really want
vaults full of soon-to-be-disappointed conspiracy-believing Leary-fans.
I can imagine the response on being revived: "Oh, it's 2100? Yeah, whatever,
but now where's Tim?"

Peter Merel.
