Yes, I think all of the cryonics organizations cryopreserve pets, or
have in the recent past. So why not pet DNA? I think there probably
already is some pet DNA in storage.

I wouldn't be surprised if what you propose actually does  becomes
technically feasible in the next couple of decades. 
In fact, if it does, that would seem like a good angle for the
mainstreaming of cryonics. It would seem like a good segue to the more
widespread acceptance of freezing and reviving a person if we could
clone a pet in the year 2010  from cells stored, say, in the 1990s.

Imagine the photgenicity of a pet owner reunited with a clone of
his/her beloved pet after 2 decades. A media event in the making, I
would say.
