Steve Bridge makes a good point about the contemporary situation when he points out that you must be brain dead to donate organs such as your heart. This is a legal issue, true, and laws can change, but it's very unlikely that anyone now will urge that such a law be changed so that cryonics patients can donate their heart! The blood donor point is good too. But I must add something from my own personal experience: they won't take blood from someone who has had cancer of any kind. I even believe I'm healthy enough to give blood, but it would not be taken. And here is a totally different matter: if there are any readers of Cryonet who live near Vermont (the state) I'd like them to please contact me. This is a personal matter, but I do want to speak to a cryonicist. My net address etc, just in case it doesn't come through, is: and phone number is 1-(650) 726-2251. I'd like to hear from you, and if you can or send me email I will discuss the matter privately with you. Best to all, and long long life, Thomas Donaldson Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=9147
