X-Message-Number: 9692 From: Olaf Henny <> Subject: CryoNet #9673 - #9682 and some prior Date: Mon, 11 May 1998 09:47:04 -0700 Exacting attention to detail in procedure and record keeping in research is absolutely crucial, but in human interaction digging out every possible negative interpretation in what the other said and warping it to either make my own point or to mold it into a target, which I can readily attack is counter-productive. We all read, what was said and not said during the recent discussions about relative importance of research for- and promotion of cryonics and have long formed our own opinion as to where each of the debaters stand in the "he said, that I said, - which misleads and (not-) infers - was not the meaning" discussion. Any further justification and of one's own - or niggling about the other's viewpoint will only serve to diminish the image of the initiator. Sometimes my reputation is better served by letting small and pedantic accusations ride, than by defending my position with petulance. Have a positive day, :) Olaf Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=9692
