(del) Surely the point of a survey of people who do *not* sign up is to find out whether they have failed to sign up because of some misconception. They may well beleive many of the countless innaccurate arguments against cryonics. If they beleive these innaccurate arguments, then it is necessary to find a way of educating them. The very fact that members of the public beleive innaccurate arguments is the main "failure of the cryonics movement." I do not have the answer, but it is clear that information has to be presented *in the right sequence* in order to get someone to accept many propositions. > Also, if people are dubious about cryonics to begin with, they're > going to be a lot more dubious after they read the warnings in cryonics > signup documents. Surely it could be explained properly that these warning are there to protect all the patients against a lawsuit against the organisation causing them to be annihilated by thawing without reanimation. Very few people actually like lawyers and lawsuits. -- Sincerely, * Longevity Report: http://www.longevb.demon.co.uk/lr.htm John de Rivaz * Fractal Report: http://www.longevb.demon.co.uk/fr.htm **************** Homepage:http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/JohndeR In the information age, sharing can increase world wealth enormously, because giving information does not decrease your information.
