Um...  I had already written a *compimentary* letter to him.  The 
article struck me as a reasonably successful attempt at mild comedy 
-- the sort of bemused, irreverent outlook that is not uncommon among 
article writers.  It didn't make me laugh out loud or anything, but 
the imagery of twenty-five revived white male technoid Californians 
surrounding Kennita Watson with flowers and candy did strike me as 
amusing.  Maybe Ms. Watson would disagree.  :-)

Yes, yes, the post-revival world won't really happen that way; but I 
don't think that anyone, including the author, saw this as a list of 
serious problems to be addressed.  It was just a joke.  

Scott, did you think that the article was unfair, or that it might 
discourage someone from signing up?  Maybe I'm too lighthearted, but 
I really didn't see anything offensive in it.
