I have been a subscriber to cryonet for more than 3 years and this was one of the more interesting post I have read. It brought up many questions in my mind (whatever that is :) ) about current freezing procedures. I know different cryoprotectants are used but do any contain anything like this nucleating protein that is mentioned? Next, at what temperature does full washout and perfusion normally take place? It seems like that a temperature close to but just above 0C is best. I may be way behind but if any of the information in this acticle is new it seems that it would have a big impact on current procedures. ------------------------------------------------ Brett Corlett Faculty of Engineering, Carleton University Suspension and Steering Team Leader, Formula SAE Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=9893
