Agreed, but I tend to avoid that argument when confronted with the 
"we shouldn't save lives because Mother Earth will be overcrowded" 
response.  Just by taking up the debate, I may inadvertently imply 
that in order for people to accept cryonics, they must first be 
convinced that most of what they've heard about population is wrong.

Obviously, I'm not saying that this is always the best approach.  
Some situations may well arise where it would be helpful to take on 
the conventional overpopulation wisdom.  In this situation, I chose 
to sidestep it.
