Some updates on the Discovery Channel special cryonics documentary, 
*Immortality on Ice*:

Discovery Channel has released a list of additional air dates.  This 
one-hour program will air seven different times between October 20 
and November 11.

Sunday, October 20, 1996    9:00 p.m.
Monday, October 21 (Sunday night)   1:00 a.m.

Saturday, November 2     7:00 p.m.

Wednesday, November 6,      10:00 p.m.
Thursday, November 7 (Wednesday night)     2:00 a.m.

Monday, November 11,     (9:00 p.m.)
Tuesday, November 12 (Monday night)     (1:00 a.m.)

     The Discovery Channel appears to be promoting this quite 
heavily.

     We have seen the show now.  It's good but not perfect.  I have 
parts I like, parts I don't like.  I almost posted my thoughts on the 
show here; but I suddenly realized that I want to hear all your 
reactions and the reactions of your friends and family *without* 
being influenced by my statements.

     So I'll save my reaction until after the 20th.

     I should note that interviews feature Bob Ettinger, David 
Ettinger, Art Quaife, Joe Cannon, Ralph Merkle, Tanya Jones, Hugh 
Hixon, myself, one of the BioTime people (not one I know), Kenneth 
Storey (frozen frogs), and several anti-cryonics "experts" who seem 
largely uneducated about cryonics (big surprise).  I've probably 
missed some names here.
